Dream for America is a Gen Z-led 501(c)4 non-profit founded in 2023 by then 16-year-old William He focused on identifying, educating, and mobilizing young Americans to promote the principles of freedom, democracy, equality, & the rule of law. We’re building the most organized, active, and powerful pro-democracy grassroots network to mobilize a new generation of democracy defenders & reshape youth political culture online & on-campus for decades to come. Our goal is to win the battle for the soul of America’s youth and inspire a new wave of young liberals, informed citizens, and future leaders who will choose common sense and rational leadership at a time of apathetic, nationalist, divisive, and irrational extremism. Dream for America will inspire young Americans to become the educated, intellectual, well-spoken future leaders we know they can be. We are changing the nation — and shaping a more free and democratic America!

Dream for America is dedicated to supporting students on campus across America through innovative youth-tailored marketing, distributing educational literature, hosting on-campus events with local leaders and inspiring speakers. We play offense with a sense of urgency to go to the places where progressives are in the ideological and philosophical minority to build the most organized, active, and powerful pro-democracy activist network on campus, planning and executing activism initiatives, helping students get registered to vote, and informing peers about the importance of diversity, economic opportunity, & the people and institutions that make our country great. Our goal is to change what it means to be a liberal on campus by promoting true democratic values & reclaiming freedom and patriotism. We’ll offer students a positive, liberal, pro-democracy vision for America by contrasting the negative, extremist, anti-American conservative agenda.

By combining culture and politics through creative branding, “memes”, and relevant pop-culture into day-to-day marketing and organizing activities, Dream for America constantly reaches new demographics and expands our base of supporters young and old. We combine culture and politics to combat the Right’s content creating army of agitators and engage young people in meaningful, educational, and effective ways. We also seek to identify and incubate young creators & influencers by equipping them with every available resource necessary to create inspiring content & spread democracy online and on-campus across diverse communities and all forms of media. Our goal is to build our very own left-wing media ecosystem with original podcasts, short-films, documentaries, and other types of digital content made for young audiences to correct the record & challenge the narrative of the far-right.

Conferences
We hope to build a reputation of being the premier brand in events for young progressive activists across the country. We aim to hold a series of regional summits and national conferences to attract young progressive students from across the country. Each conference will feature the top thought leaders in the progressive movement, as well as provide resourceful break-out training, networking sessions, and other innovative programming for attendees. We believe it’s important to not only expose young people to tremendously intellectual and inspiring speakers – but also provide students with the tools and connections they need to effectively battle radical right-wing extremism.

Our accomplishments since founding just 18 months ago:
- Recruited a volunteer network that covers all 50 states.
- Distributed thousands of dollars in grants mobilizing students to organize for progressivism & counter Turning Point USA on campus.
- Generated national coverage over counter protests against TPUSA and Kyle Rittenhouse’s college speaking tour at various campuses.
- Reached Americans with 100 million impressions on social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Threads, TikTok, and more – accruing over 215,000 combined followers.
- Partnered with the Biden-Harris campaign on a historic coalition of 14 other youth-voter groups to endorse them for re-election – with the goal of mobilizing 500,000 student volunteers to make 155+ million direct voter contacts
- Out-raised Turning Point USA’s first year fundraising 2-to-1 in just 6 months. Out-raised Turning Point USA’s second year fundraising in just 1 year.
- Quoted in AP, ABC, NBC, The Hill, Newsweek, The Guardian, press releases from the Biden-Harris campaign, & more.
- Invited by the Democratic National Committee to attend the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago with a booth at the ‘DemPalooza’ Allied Groups Convention Expo.
- The youngest allied partner group organization at the DNC (both in leadership and time since the group was established). Founder & CEO (William He) was just 17-years-old at the time.
- Featured in a DW News documentary on youth in politics, capturing DFA at the 2024 DNC.
- Organized a sold-out fundraiser in Chicago headlined by several prominent Democratic political figures including: Amy McGrath, Mike Schmuhl, & former U.S. Representative Cheri Bustos.
