Two years after its founding, Dream for America (DFA) is reporting significant national growth as the youth-led organization prepares for an ambitious 2026 expansion focused on chapters, content, and organizing infrastructure.
Founded in 2023 by William He, Dream for America set out to build a large-scale youth civic engagement network capable of reaching and mobilizing the rising generation. Since launch, the organization has scaled rapidly with an all-volunteer team of high school and college students and limited initial capital.

DFA leaders say the organization has demonstrated unusually strong efficiency in converting digital attention into real-world organizing activity compared to peer youth organizations.
“We built Dream for America to meet this moment — and the response from young people across the country has been overwhelming,” said William He, Founder and CEO. “The demand is there. The question now is scale. We’ve built the engine, now we’re searching for fuel.”
Looking Ahead to 2026
Dream for America announced plans to significantly expand in the coming year, with priorities including:

The organization’s leadership emphasized the urgency of investing in youth civic engagement early, particularly as competing organizations continue to expand their presence in secondary schools.
“Young people are being reached every day with competing narratives about democracy and America’s future,” He said. “Our focus is making sure the next generation has the tools, community, and hope to lead.”
